"I have worn AFOs for decades, and I’m pretty hard on them. I work on my feet - I’m a janitor - and while I do have foot drop on my left, both my ankles also tend to dislocate or sublux, and both feet rotate inward. Genetic disorder bingo jackpot, y’all! So, first off - pay attention to sizing. I’m at the upper limit for the small on these, but know the medium will be too big AND won’t fit in any of my shoes, so I went with the small. It LOOKS like it was made for a child, but it fits me perfectly. It’s light but not lightweight and feels like it will be fairly durable. I have only worn it for two weeks, but it has held up well through both normal (9h) and batturd crazy (20) days at work. It does what it says it’s going to - stabilizes my foot and ankle, both preventing my foot drop and keeping my feet from rolling inward and ankles from subluxing. That makes it a win in my book. Definitely does what it says it will, and does it well.It arrived in a bag with included pads to use on the plastic for comfort, along with a detailed, easy to read instruction sheet. It has a lower profile that makes it almost invisible under pants or jeans and allows it to fit into most walking shoes (or work boots, in my case.)And the adjustable strap that lets you easily loosen or tighten it is a HUGE bonus! When you’re on your feet d12+ hours, swelling happens. Straps start to cut in, and things get uncomfortable. With the way the strap system on this adjusts, it’s literally a two second, one-handed adjustment to correct the comfort level! My only gripe is the narrowness of the footbed - the edges will rub a bit, causing something of a hot spot. It was a 2 second “fix” with a piece of moleskin, but I wish more AFO manufacturers would realize that the average foot just isn’t that narrow. The pricing is about on par for OTC AFOs, at around $45 (at time of review) so there are no surprises there. Considering my prescription/custom ones cost over 10x that - EACH - and are nowhere near as comfortable or attractive, yet do the exact same thing, I’d say it’s a pretty good deal."

I ordered the left foot x-large size. This foot brace is very light weight and thin yet it is unbelievably strong and sturdy. My Uncle suffers from Achilles tendonitis and at times drop foot. I helped put this on him over his sock. The Velcro loop closures are fabulous for adjustability and they hold extremely well. He was able to wear this on his foot inside his orthopedic sneakers. He said it gave him great support. He added it was a tiny bit snug, but not uncomfortably so. He added that it was so minimal that he'd get used to it. I had him walk for me while using a walker (just in case) and he said the difference was phenomenal. I noticed his gait was much improved. This comes complete with instructions and accessories and is an excellent value; worth every penny!

The Komzer AFO Drop Foot Brace has been a very helpful support for my actual drop foot condition. I need something that keeps my foot lifted while walking, and this brace does a good job providing that support without feeling overly bulky or heavy. It helps reduce toe dragging and makes walking feel more stable and safer, especially during longer periods of movement. The brace is lightweight and fits inside most of my shoes, which is important for everyday use. Once adjusted properly, it keeps my foot in a more natural position and improves my overall gait. The adjustable straps allow for a secure fit, and I appreciate that it can be customized to feel snug without cutting off circulation. Comfort-wise, it took a little time to get used to, which is expected with any orthotic device, but after some adjustment it became much more comfortable for daily wear. Wearing a longer sock underneath helps prevent rubbing and improves comfort even more. One thing to note is that proper sizing and shoe choice matter a lot. It works best with supportive shoes that have enough room to accommodate the brace. Putting it on can take a little practice at first, but it becomes easier with routine. This brace has made a noticeable difference in my mobility and confidence while walking. For someone truly dealing with drop foot, it provides reliable support and helps make daily movement safer and more manageable. And this is very important when you want to avoid tripping from drop foot.

If you’re looking for reliable ankle support that doesn’t slow you down, this adjustable foot brace is a fantastic choice. It offers the perfect balance between stability and comfort, making it ideal for injury recovery as well as everyday mobility. One of the standout features is its adjustable design. The straps allow you to customize the level of compression and support, whether you’re dealing with a sprain, mild instability, or just need extra reinforcement during long days on your feet. It feels secure without being overly tight, and it stays in place throughout the day.The lightweight construction is another major plus. Unlike bulky braces that feel restrictive, this one is slim enough to fit comfortably inside most shoes. You can wear it to work, while running errands, or even during light workouts without feeling weighed down. The material is breathable and comfortable against the skin, which helps prevent overheating or irritation during extended wear. It provides solid ankle stabilization while still allowing a natural range of motion, so you can move confidently and comfortably.Overall, this adjustable ankle support is a practical, well-designed option for anyone recovering from an injury or simply looking for extra daily support. It’s supportive, lightweight, discreet, and easy to use — a great addition to your recovery routine and everyday life.

Komzer AFO Drop Foot Brace, Adjustable Ankle Support Orthosis for Stroke Recovery & Daily Mobility,…

Komzer AFO Drop Foot Brace, Adjustable Ankle Support Orthosis for Stroke Recovery & Daily Mobility, Lightweight Orthotic Device for Men & Women, Fits Inside Shoes (XL, Left) – KomzerI sampled this brace to help manage mild foot drop symptoms and ankle instability during longer periods on my feet.My first impression was that it is lighter than many traditional orthotic supports while still feeling structured enough to provide meaningful stabilization. The open-heel design allowed it to fit inside most of my everyday shoes without drastically changing how they felt. The adjustment system is straightforward and lets me fine-tune tension depending on activity level or minor swelling.Once properly fitted, it helps maintain a more natural walking motion and reduces that dragging sensation that can occur with foot drop.I also noticed improved confidence when walking on uneven ground since the ankle feels more supported. The container it arrived in was simple but protective, and setup instructions were clear enough that I did not need to hunt for additional guidance.Comfort is good for extended wear, though padding placement and sock choice do influence how it feels after several hours. For a non-custom orthotic, it performs respectably and serves as a practical mobility aid.**Pros:**✅ Lightweight yet supportive construction✅ Adjustable tension allows personalized fit✅ Fits inside many shoe styles discreetly✅ Helps improve walking stability and confidence**Cons:**❌ Some pressure points may require adjustment or thicker socks❌ Not a substitute for professionally fitted medical orthotics

I am extremely pleased with this brace and the difference it has made for me.…

I am extremely pleased with this brace and the difference it has made for me. I was dealing with ankle weakness and instability that made walking uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating. After starting to use this brace, I noticed a real improvement in both comfort and support almost immediately. One of the best things about this brace is how well it fits. The adjustable straps make it easy to customize the fit so it feels secure without being too tight. The two Velcro straps as well as the hook style side strap help it stay in place throughout the day and doesn’t shift around when walking, which was a concern of mine with other supports I’ve tried. It also fits comfortably inside my shoes without feeling bulky, so I can wear it during normal daily activities without drawing attention or needing special footwear. The comfort level is excellent. Even when wearing it for extended periods, it doesn’t cause irritation or discomfort. The additional pads that are included can be placed between the brace and your skin if you find there are any spots that rub or chafe. The materials feel sturdy but still lightweight and breathable, making it practical for daily use. It gives my ankle and foot the support they need while still allowing natural movement. Most importantly, this brace has helped reduce many of the issues I was experiencing. I feel more stable when walking, my foot position feels more controlled, and I’m much more confident moving around. It has noticeably reduced strain and discomfort, making everyday tasks easier and less tiring. It took some getting use to, but I adapted after a few days and feel like this product has truly helped improve my mobility and quality of life. If you need extra ankle and foot support or are dealing with foot drop or instability, I would absolutely recommend giving this brace a try. It’s relatively inexpensive and I’d consider it a good value because ithas made a meaningful difference for me.

When I first opened the box and saw this brace, I must admit I was skeptical that it would, A. Be functional. And B. Be comfortable. The most important things in an ankle brace. There are also four straps that you have to work with, and that was a little intimidating and confusing to me... at first. But in putting the brace on and putting the straps into their respective loops and connecting them together, I found out it was not that hard after all. They all have their special locations attached to the brace that you loop them through, and one(the strap nearest the toes) just attaches together with no plastic loops to go through first. And once on and with the straps tightened, the brace was not going anywhere. It was secure on my leg and foot and has great support for my ankle. The brace comes with some extra pads for added comfort, but I felt it didn't need them, but they are nice to have.I was also skeptical of being able to wear the brace and wear my shoes at the same time, thinking this thing would never fit inside my shoes. But as you can see from the picture, it fit quite nicely in my tennis shoes, and actually wasn't as difficult to put on as I thought it would be.A nice, functional and supportive brace for your ankle.
