These LEADHALO merino wool baselayer tops and bottoms performed just as well, if not better, than my other set of Smartwool thermals on a recent trip to Antarctica. Good merino wool thermal base layers aren't exactly cheap so I jumped on these when they came up available on my Vine page and am so glad that I was able to get them so I would have two sets of thermals to take on the trip. They fit as expected, a little tight, but that is what you want in a baselayer. They are quite comfortable and soft, definitely no itchiness that can come with cheap wool products. They performed excellently on our Antarctic shore expeditions, they kept me warm and held up wonderfully. They have a nice weight and feel to them despite being thin. They dried very quickly and didn't retain a sweaty smell after the expeditions. I would highly recommend these over sets that cost more for just the top or bottom alone.carrie

I bought a large in this item and it fits very well.When I think of wool, I immediately think itchy but this set is soft enough to be pj's.It is a great base layer when working outside or being active outside, it will keep you nice and warm.It seems to be a quality item, the stitching is sturdy and the seams are even.The instructions do say to not machine wash or dry but mine has ended up in both and it does launder well and does not shrink.
