Lightweight and portable, this drain snake is suitable for most purposes and will take care of all but the most stubborn clogs. It isn't as long as some more extensive professional rigs, but it works great for most household clogs in sinks and shower/tub drains.It's as easy as putting down the drain and clearing that clog. No waiting on slow dissolving liquids or caustic chemicals. Just clear that clog and you're good to go.Very glad I picked this up. It cleared the hair and crud out of my shower drain and now it whisks the water away as good it ever has.roy b

I have read the other reviews, and unsure why several people had issues with this model drain snake! Hmm... Maybe they got defective units, but personally this has been extremely useful several times already for me - and I have only had it for a few months!This 63-inch flexible drain snake clog remover tool is now hands-down one of the most useful DIY tools I’ve added to my home maintenance kit. Clogs in sinks and tubs used to be a nightmare that sent me immediately reaching for harsh chemicals, trying to make a hook out of a metal coat hanger, or ultimately booking a plumber. With this tool, I can clear most blockages myself quickly and effectively, which has saved both time and money. I got the 63 inch long version of this product, but honestly now wishing I had grabbed the 79 inch version instead (longer reach means further down the drain you can reach). Although, handling the 79 inch version may be a bit much for some people, as even the 63 inch one is cumbersome for me sometimes, depending on what drain I am using it in.🔧 Key Specifications* Length: ~63 inches of flexible steel cable - long enough to tackle deep clogs in bathroom and kitchen drains.* Flexible Design: The cable bends easily to follow the curves of pipes without kinking.* Grabber Claw Head: The claw grabs hair, gunk, and debris so it comes out clean instead of staying lodged.* Lightweight & Compact: Easy to store in a utility closet but long enough to reach deep blockages.* Application: Works great on sinks, bathroom tubs, showers, and even some toilet drains.🛠️ Step-by-Step Usage (How I Use It)1) Prepare Your Area: I place paper towels or an old rag around the drain to catch any splashes or debris (this is a MUST)2) Insert the Snake: Slowly feed the 63-inch cable into the drain with the grabber claw head leading. It’s flexible, so it follows the pipe’s curves without much resistance.3) Feel for the Clog: Once I feel resistance, I squeeze the handle (to open the claws), turn slightly, and push gently into the clog itself - that allows the claw to latch onto hair and as much buildup as possible in the first attempt.4) Pull Back Slowly: When I feel the debris catch, I pull the snake back out - the grabber claw holds onto the gunk so it doesn’t fall back into the pipe.5) Repeat if Needed: For stubborn clogs, a second pass usually clears everything.6) Rinse: Finish by running hot water down the drain to flush any small bits left behind.NOTE: Sometimes you do NOT want to fully retract the claws (as they are designed to pull all the way back into the coiled housing) - if you only half way release the handle, you can often grab twice as much gunk and debris without dropping it along the way back out of the drain. I learned this trick the hard way! I realized that it will grab hair and similar very well if fully released, but the soft gunk will squeeze right out if you fully release the handle (allowing the claws to retract back in completely). Try to get a feel for it by testing it on something (like a paper towel) outside of the drain before you ever put it down a drain.🌟 What I Love About ItBefore I had this tool, even small clogs meant a lot of mess and product-filled drains (I hate having to use scary acid based drain-o style cleanout chemicals. This snake is simple and mechanical - no chemicals, no mess, and you see what’s coming out instead of guessing (or just sending it further down your drain to clog up the big pipes under the house eventually). I cleared a hairball clog in my shower drain in under five minutes with it, and it’s been reliable ever since.Overall, this drain snake has made regular home plumbing upkeep so much less stressful. If you’ve ever dealt with slow drains or annoying clogs, this tool is a must-have for your toolbox - easy to use, effective, and worth every penny!barry hancock
