The website states that the AI capability can identify over 16,000 bird species (subscription required); I am hopeful that the local bird population is included in the database. The camera used is one made for home security systems that may have a tendency to activate from many types of movements other than birds, such as flying insects or movement from landscape plants. The camera’s battery can be charged either by plugging it into a USB port or by the supplied 5-watt solar panel with a reported capacity of up to 5000mAh.This isYoung Birdlook bird feeder is well made using colorful hard plastic with two separate food-dispensing chambers to attract various species of birds. This feeder comes with additional accessories that are mounted on the perch to attract different species of birds. The accessories include a fruit fork, a hummingbird feeder, and a jelly cup. The food shelf has a drainage design to ensure the bird food stays dry, preventing spoilage.The one big negative to this isYoung Birdlook bird feeder is the Vicohome app. This particular app is downloaded through a distant server that requires one to log in with an account to view the camera in the app. Without setting up an account, the camera will only show a short sequence of video at a time. If you want to use the full capability of the app you will be required to pay a monthly $6.00 fee, which I feel is excessive. Additionally, connecting this app through one’s home Wi-Fi network via a distant server can introduce security issues. The risk of the distant server being hacked is too great, in my opinion, just to watch birds. There is no reason to require setting up an account to view the camera that one has purchased, which is the main reason for the three star rating."
