"I had been using Phillips One Blade electric razor for years, however the blades got dull very quickly and replacements are fairly expensive. With a blade that doesn't need to be replaced and for just $20, only a little more than a single One Blade replacement, I had to give this a try - especially because this product was also made by Phillips.Considering the low price point is was a little skeptical about this trimmer being any good; I was ultimately pleasantly surprised!I was very happy with the results and this has since become my default razor to shave with.First I need to mention this isn't really a razor as much as it's a trimmer. This will not leave you with a clean shave. The One Blade also didn't leave you perfectly smooth but it leaves the hair noticably shorter than this product did; for me that really wasn't an issue as I like the look of a little stubble. The result here is extremely short stubble, similar to a five o'clock shadow. Also worth mentioning at least if someone has a physical disability that interferes with shaving: this product needs to be held at a more precise angle than the One Blade (but the same would be true for any razor of this style); the power is turned on by sliding a switch, ideally with your thumb but another finger could be used if necessary. The charger needs the slightest amount of force to go into the razor itself and this may be difficult (but not impossible) if you don't have use of both hands. If you're completely unfamiliar with electric shavers there are basically two types, one that has exposed teeth that move side to side and the other type uses like a grate with a rotating blade behind it. The latter shaved closer but at the same time I find it pulls the hairs, especially when they are longer. The former category, which this shaver belongs to, sheers instead of pulls and is much more comfortable. The battery is sufficient and powerful enough to cut without any issues or slowdown for longe/thicker hair. I've used it three times out of the box without charging it so far and haven't noticed any decrease in cutting strength. It comes with various attachments for leaving hair longer, none of which I have a use for, however it did come with a fabric bag for the razor and charging cable which I found very useful. The razor gets a little bit hot after several minutes of use, but this is literally a non issue that I only mention in an effort to mention everything possible. This is my take away: it's ridiculous that Phillips is able to sell this entire razor, accessories and all for just a tiny bit more than a single replacement one blade. The quality is equal and this doesn't require expensive replaceable blades! It makes me suspect Phillips purposely makes their other product with an incredibly soft metal so that you are constantly buying new blades! While the designs of the two products aren't identical they're similar enough to reach that conclusion.tl;dr I've owned trimmers that are close to five times as expensive as this one, and for me the difference was negligible.A confident 5 star recommendation, especially considering the incredibly low price point!"

I have a confession to make.This isn’t the first Philips Norelco All-in-One 3000 Series Trimmer…

I have a confession to make. This isn’t the first Philips Norelco All-in-One 3000 Series Trimmer I’ve purchased. It’s not the second either. It’s the third purchase I’ve personally made from the Philips family of quality shaving / trimmer products for men.I’ve been a fan of the Philips products since I watched my uncle shave with his electric shaver back when I was a teenager that despised shaving. My Uncle let me try his Norelco electric razor and I made my choice of how to shave without a second thought.I’ve never looked back on my choice to abandon the classic razor and shaving cream method in favor of a method I viewed as significantly better.Thirty years have passed since that day and I still haven’t looked back. Occasionally I will opt to pamper myself with an extravagant hot lather and straight razor shave at the barber but those are always on outings with the boys. My everyday shaving needs are well addressed by Philips Norelco.I love the Philips Norelco products. Hands down, I believe they are among the best of the best male grooming appliances on the market and have been since my teenage days. The 3000 series All-in-One trimmer is no exception. This trimmer is well made and it’s built to last. It’s easy to maneuver around my face, easy to operate, and it always works until it doesn’t. Don’t misunderstand, each of my Philips Norelco appliances lasted at least TEN (10) YEARS! In my book that’s longevity and that longevity speaks volumes to design and construction quality. The unit is It’s rechargeable meaning it doesn’t require attachment to the power outlet. If its rechargeable battery is dead, it will run while plugged in. It even charges quickly.Using a trimmer on longer / thicker beards can sometimes be painful but not if you are using the 3000 series trimmers. It delivers a comfortable experience even if you have one of those thick pirate beards of times long past. The trimmer comes with a great set of accessories including a detail trimmer, a specialty nose / ear hair trimmer, a collection of guards with fixed lengths to help get your beard trimmed just right, a USB charging cable (no block is included), a carrying case, and a cleaning brush too. When my last trimmer died after a more than a decade of service to me, I didn’t consider other products; I let my fingers do the typing and placed an order right here on Amazon. As usual, I’m not disappointed and would do it all over again. I DID…for the third time in 30+ years. Philips Norelco keeps doing it right!

The steel blades feel high-quality and cut through hair smoothly without any pulling or irritation. It comes with all the attachments I need for my beard and nose hair, and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time between charges. While I wish it had a charging indicator light to show when the battery is full, that’s a minor trade-off for such an affordable and durable tool. It’s a solid, no-frills trimmer that gets the job done perfectly.

I’ve gone through my fair share of cheap trimmers that pull hair or die after…

I’ve gone through my fair share of cheap trimmers that pull hair or die after three months, so I was a little skeptical about switching to another Norelco. Honestly, I should’ve just bought this one first. The first thing you notice is the weight. It doesn’t feel like a hollow plastic toy; it has some actual heft to it, which makes it way easier to control when you’re trying not to ruin your beard line on a Monday morning. The guards actually snap on securely, too, so there are no more moments where the guard slips and you accidentally give yourself a bald spot. The battery life is pretty insane. I’ve had this for about three weeks, used it four or five times, and I still haven’t had to plug it back in. It’s one of those rare devices where you actually forget where you put the charging cable because you use it so rarely. It is also completely waterproof, which is a lifesaver for cleaning. Being able to just rinse the whole thing under the sink makes maintenance take about five seconds. As for the actual shave, the blades are incredibly sharp. I have pretty thick hair, and this thing just glides through without that annoying tugging feeling. I even used the nose hair attachment—admitting that is a hit to my pride, but here we are—and it actually works without making your eyes water. If you’re looking for something that’s reliable, quiet, and won’t nick your skin every time you get close to your jawline, this is it. It’s not the cheapest one on the shelf, but you definitely get what you pay for. It is a 10/10 and I would recommend it to anyone who’s tired of trimmers that feel disposable.

I've only been using this for a month or so, but it's the best shaver I've used in at least 20 years. It feels good in the hand, it seems to shave more smoothly than other similarly-priced shavers, and I like that it's rechargeable and the head(s) is/are removable to clean them.I haven't used any of the attachments yet, so I can't attest to how well they work, but the cleaning brush and other accessories are nice to be included.

I'm very happy with being able to use the trimmer guards to get a more…

I'm very happy with being able to use the trimmer guards to get a more consistent length when I'm trimming my beard. Previously, I'd either use scissors and a comb to keep from cutting off too much or cutting skin, or just shave everything off entirely. Once I figured out how to remove and change trimmer heads, it's become so easy to use and take care of. The guards are all marked with their sizes in millimeters (though it was hard to see at first), and they feel like they work well regardless of which direction you shave from.I originally got this set with the intention of having a part-shaved hairstyle and then maintaining it myself. I was going to have a professional cut it first, but eventually I tried it out myself and it actually came out okay.I think I really do enjoy using this more than a razor. Razors often get clogged with hair so quickly, making the process take forever, but I haven't had problems with this shaver. The only downside is that a shaver doesn't get quite as close to the skin (the booklet it comes with says it can cut hair to 1/64 of an inch in length), but that's kinda to be expected, and I was still fine with the end result. I bet it'd work well in combination with a razor - shaving off the bulk of hair with this and then going to a razor for more detail work. It's very comfortable to use, and I think would be great for people who are new to shaving, since even putting extra force hasn't caused any razor cuts yet. I have gotten a couple razor cuts from shaving armpits, but the skin texture is softer/different, which probably contributed to this.Overall, definitely happy with this product and actually makes me not dread that the process will take forever, because it's very quick and easy.
