"The cameras themselves seem pretty well made and the whole setup process was fairly easy. The features of the cameras is very good and the video quality is excellent. Plus being totally wireless is a big plus. The weak part of this system is the app. Sometimes it takes a long time to see a live view of a specific camera. Also there is no way to see a live view of all cameras at the same time. Other negative is Blink has no desktop app like a lot of other camera systems. My Yi Home camera system had a nice desktop app that allowed you to view all the cameras at once. Lastly Blink does not integrate with Google Home without using a third party program. I was even able to see my Yi Home cameras on the Google Home app."

We did a lot of research before choosing a brand of camera. Reading many reviews, it’s clear that all of the camera brands have frustrated purchasers. We bought the Blink system partly for the price.After a few active weeks of operation, it’s been working fine. We are still early in use, so a review of the battery life and durability will be updated, if necessary. As long as you have a good Wi-Fi signal within 100 feet of your cameras, you should get quickly-triggered, crisp, clean video footage every time. The camera also picks up audio, which works if you are within 15 feet or so for the greatest clarity.If you want to view your clips on a large computer screen, you can click on a video (on the Blink phone app), and select the “send to email” option. Then download and watch it in fuller detail.The annual subscription provides a few bonuses, such as: Blink automatically stitches together multiple video clips from your various cameras into one seamless “event.” Blink also lets you select among animal, person, or vehicle footage. You can also select using a grid which part of a camera shot you want to be triggered by motion.Placement: it’s a good idea if you are using multiple cameras to triangulate an area using several, slightly overlapping camera views. This way when one camera phases out, another will pick up the motion. Three cameras can cover a large area this way.For a mount facing "house forward," we bought a downspout mount from Etsy that works specifically for Blink cameras. We placed two other cameras on trees which are angled toward the house, for a wide overlapping and varied view.So far, we’re happy with the Blink system. A little trial and error may be necessary to optimize it, but once set up it does a good job adding security to your home or property.sunvalleyslim
