"Okay listen. This book should have been lower for me, but I cannot deny one thing: I was entertained the entire time.I was hooked. I kept reading. I needed to know what was going to happen next. And yes, it was hot.I absolutely adored Jude. I do not care that some people are calling him a typical “bad boy” character or saying he wasn’t anything special. I was gone for him. The things this man said are living rent-free in my head on a loop. He was confident, sharp, unhinged in the best way, and honestly felt like the strongest part of the book for me.Now Violet… whew. I’m going to be honest, I disliked her for about 90 percent of the story. As an FMC, she just did not work for me. I struggled with her choices, her reactions, and her overall presence. I also really didn’t love how Dahlia felt like a completely different character compared to who we met in book one. That disconnect pulled me out more than once.Preston, though? Preston absolutely carried large chunks of this book. And I am already feral over the idea of his book with Marcus. That story is going to ruin my life, and I am not even pretending otherwise. The funny thing is, the more I talk about what didn’t work for me, the more it sounds like I didn’t enjoy this book. But that’s not true. I did enjoy it. It made me feel things. I was invested. I was curious. I was entertained from start to finish. So no, it wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t amazing. But it delivered on tension, obsession, and heat, and sometimes that’s enough. And honestly? Jude alone almost pushed this higher for me."

Rina Kent does it again… another absolute five-star read. Sweet Venom completely wrecked me in the best way possible. This book made me laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. It was intense, emotional, and impossible to put down. The story follows Jude and Violet, and honestly… where do I even begin?Let’s start with Jude—wow. This man is dangerous, violent, and so insanely protective. The kind of character that feels like a walking storm, but the way he cares for Violet is everything. He’s ruthless, but there’s depth under all that darkness that makes him unforgettable. And then there’s Violet. At first, she’s quiet and shy, but as the story unfolds, I loved watching her grow into her strength. She learns to stand up for herself, and that development was so satisfying. Violet is also fiercely protective, especially when it comes to her sister Dalia, and that love and loyalty made her character even more special. What I adored most about Violet is her kind, sweet nature. Even in the middle of chaos, she has such a warm heart, and it made her so easy to root for.Overall, Sweet Venom is a perfect mix of romance, pain, intensity, and emotional depth. Rina Kent knows exactly how to pull readers in and leave them completely obsessed. If you love dark romance with powerful characters, protective love, and a story that will make you feel everything—this one is a must-read.joanna reads smut

I Loved everything about this second book in the Vipers trilogy. The angst, the will he , won't be , the numerous reveals but most of all Jude and Violet's relationship. They were so relatable and I was really invested in them getting a hea. Their back stories were heart breaking and the fact they helped each other through it all just melted my heart.shannon feenan
Heard so many mixed reviews but so glad I read it as I love it…
Heard so many mixed reviews but so glad I read it as I love it so much. It was so fasted paced, it had me gripped from the beginning. Hands down one of my favourite rina kent books. I freaking love Jude and violet.I absolutely loved Judes character development. I loved him overcoming his demons. Once he realised how much he needed and violet's, you could tell how much he loved her and his actions reflected that. He made violet discover herself and made her want to live.Violet, the woman you are!. She turned her trauma into kindness, she went through so much but never took it out on anyone else. I hated how much she felt like she wasn't enough, she deserved so much more. I'm so happy she finally got to be free. She took care of everyone, so I'm glad Jude took care of her.Jude and violet's chemistry was off the charts. I swear the ginger ale scene altered my brain chemistry 🫢. As much as I loved these two, Preston will forever be my favourite. The banter between him and Dahlia was hilarious. His winding up jude and his playfulness with violet 🥹. I'm so ready for his amd Marcus's story!abi taberer
