"I have to admit I had bought this and shelved it because I hadn't yet set up my audio interface correctly for Thunderbolt 3/4 because I didn't have a newer Mac. But still I future-proofed my set up for buying it... Or so I thought.Fast forward... A few days ago I obtained a Mac Studio with multiple Thunderbolt 4 ports. Great! So I connected my audio interface (Apollo UAD Quad - with the updated Thunderbolt 3 card) with this cable and it did NOT recognize the interface through its software or my Mac's local Audio/MIDI setup window for Core Audio. I tried my work's laptop. Nothing through the Thunderbolt busses. Tried everything and got super frustrated so I went out and bought an Apple Certified cable. Connected it and instantly my interface was recognized.By reviews on here this cable seemed to work for audio folks like myself. I saw some pictures of similar audio interfaces used. But it did not work for me. I will be trying it with any hard drives that I encounter. But will not be using it for audio work..."
