"I cook a lot of soups and always freeze the extra. I thought this Souper Cubes + Lori Greiner No Mess Utensils Spoon and Ladle Kitchen Set looked like a great idea. Before I used them, I washed both ladles and had to decide how to let them dry. I suspected that water was able to drip down into the handles, but I did not let it bother me because I wanted to try one out when I cooked my acorn squash soup. As I stirred, I felt some flexing, as if my thick soup was causing the ladle to feel a bit heavy. Each time I stirred, I began to notice a wobble in the top edge of the silicone handle near the hole. Sure enough, the silicone sling was starting to pull off of the spoon's handle (photo). I then easily slid the silicone right off because of the water that had leaked inside when I washed them earlier (photo). The handle could have actually fallen into the pot of hot soup. The word "cheap" popped into my head. I did rest the ladle on the edge of the pot after I spooned some into bowls for dinner, and that was convenient. After the soup cooled, I began ladling some into my freezer containers. The spouts were handy, but the ladle felt a bit unwieldy due to the S-curved design in the handle. I'm not as thrilled with this unusual ladle set."
