"If you value your privacy don’t waste $50 on this. Requires TWO always-on Wi-Fi connections (device itself and your home wi-fi) in addition to needing to bind itself to your printer (Bambu Lab server). Doesn’t make sense when it’s already directly connected to the printer that should allow it to automatically track everything and has a usb-c port behind the screen where you can upload your own GIFs. At the VERY LEAST they should update the firmware to remove the “NO WI-FI/PRINTER BINDED” with the QR code when you aren’t connected to allow you to display at least SOMETHING. The translucent case is also very difficult to remove once installed, I had to use a wedge and pushes down your z axis rail as you’re trying to remove."

Is it needed? No. Neither is a 3d printer. I have my A1 in and enclosure. I know, I’m not supposed to. But I only close it up when not using it. As I have it in my garage. Anyway, due to the angle of the enclosure from my chair I cannot touch the screen so easily to see the time remaining. This display shows the percentage while printing. I like that convenience.sp

I love my Bambu A1's even more now after adding this to both of my A1's. I like the at a glance information it provides, plus it is just cool. I own 10 printers total and this is the coolest extra I have added to any of them. The Sprite direct drive on Enders was close.larissa
