"I am a fan of Anker products and this Anker Surge Protector Flat Plug Power Strip 2000J is a great product. I used it to replace a power strip that was taking too much room and looked bad. Also, I decided to upgrade my protection adding surge protection to all my electronic equipment (TV, game console, computers). This Anker surge protector looks slim, compact, modern, very nice.The cons I found are the following, these are things that can be improved: the 5ft cord is in fact slightly shorter, because they are considering the plug as part of that length. This was a problem to me, as I am missing a couple of inches from the location I, initially, intended to install this. I would like the length of the cord to be 6ft instead, that would be perfect and I would pay a little extra to have the additional 0.9 ft.What I did not like is that there is NO MENTION WHATSOEVER about the 2000 Joules protection rating that this product is said to provide. There is no mention of it on the box nor on the instruction manual. There is no label, sticker, or mention if it in the product... then, should we trust only in the Amazon description? There is a little TUV logo on the box and on the back of the product. Personally, I would rather have a surge protector with Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listing. UL is the most recognized third-party testing in the USA. I am not familiar with TUV and there is hardly any mention about it on the product and packaging. In my experience, third-party approvals are the kind of things companies brag about, because they are difficult to obtain and they differentiate products based on performance and proven reliability.I am trusting the description on the Amazon listing, I hope to be correct and count with the 2000 J surge protection."
