"The media could not be loaded. For a LED tube beginner, this is an excellent bulb choice to allow you to experiment with color temp (kelvins) and brightness. I love everything about these bulbs except how slow they are to turn on when not run through an electronic ballast. And yes, you read that correctly, when *not* run through an electronic ballast.Here is the longer story: I installed 6 of these bulbs into 3 fixtures. Two of the fixtures had their original, 25 year old magnetic ballasts and those had to be bypassed for these bulbs to work at all. The other fixture had a newer, electronic ballast that I had installed a few years ago when the original magnetic ballast failed. These bulbs light instantly in the fixture with the electronic ballast, but in the two fixtures with no ballast they light very slowly. I attached a video to demonstrate. In that video, both fixtures have no ballast. The bulbs closer to the camera are ‎JESLED Lighting JD-T84FTG13TCA2-24CW-12 bulbs and the ones farthest from the camera are the bulbs being reviewed here. I did not make a video of these bulbs lighting with the electronic ballast because there is no need -- they legitimately light instantaneously in the fixture with the electronic ballast.And so, if you know that you have relatively new electronic ballasts or if you don't mind the slow lighting with no ballast in use, then these bulbs are really great given their wide range of user selectable color temp and brightness. But, if you don't want to use ballasts and you know what color temp and brightness that you want, I would choose another brand, such as JESLED."
