"The media could not be loaded. This is a really high-quality Nerf blaster.I won’t bury the lede: I rated it 4 stars because it requires 6 AA batteries (not included), and is pretty loud. You definitely won’t be sneaking up on anyone with this thing, though some parents and siblings may view that as a feature. It looks awesome and is easy to use. The blaster has two triggers on top of one another, one to activate the electric motors (which make the droning noise) and the other to fire. You must hold down the secondary trigger 1-2 seconds before shooting for the motors to ramp up to speed, which may put you at a disadvantage vs other formats. Of course, you can simply hold it down all the time as an audio warning to all around you!The select fire options are super fun. Semi-auto, 3 shot burst, and full auto. You change between modes by turning the dial on the side of the blaster. I show full auto in my video (sorry I can only upload one).I tested it with older 1.2v rechargeable AAs, and it easily shot 30-40 feet without much arc. Using disposable 1.5v batteries will almost certainly give you a lot more distance and power, but it isn’t necessary. I’m uncertain on battery life, but I put ~150 shots through it with the same batteries over a couple weeks without any obvious degradation. The included add-ons are cool, but they are obviously intended more for form than function. Adding or removing the extended barrel (twist) and stock (press a button) is easy enough for kids or adults of all ages. After all, smaller kids (or different missions!) may call for less of a load out!All in all, super cool, super fun, but not exactly fit for a sniper role. This is for someone who wants to go loudly on the attack."

I usually don't leave 5 stars, but this brought the kid out in me. This was given to my son in-law for a birthday party for the grandkids after I tried it out. Well after I let one go on the Mrs's derriere, which she said it stung, my urban commando days were over. Other than that it worked fine and has all the functions for a good Nerf war. My son and his friends have had a blast playing with this. It doesn’t jam, goes through billets like crazy, shoots incredibly far. Lots of fun to keep holding the trigger and making noise even after all the bullets are gone. They should sell extra magazines to store and quickly reload.steven
