"over all is is a good keyboard, but here is what I did realize until I got it.If you rest your hand on the keyboard, you will mistype. The pressure point is super fine, and I am constantly accidentally miss-typing or accidentally hitting keys. it's the most subtle key tap I have ever experienced. Don't let the 'old school' look fool you, it doesn't have that hardy feel. it does not make click sounds though, which is nice. but this is the most annoying thing.no print screen button either. The volume knob is great.oh and the battery life is trash, but it comes with a plug. so dont expect to use this wirelessly for too long. maybe the battery life lasts 40 hours? recharging once a week isn't terrible. but comparing to another keyboard, I haven't charged in 6 months since when I bought the computer.Update. Battery is flashing low after 8 hours, if not using... is it a low/Bad battery, or am I just used to batteries lasting 6+ months? I may return since I’m in return window still for next 10 days…"

This keyboard is a solid choice for beginners trying out mechanical keyboards. The typing feel is satisfying—responsive and tactile, with switches that are quiet enough for office use but still enjoyable for gaming. The RGB lighting is customizable and looks great in dim light, though I wish the brightness was more even across the keys. The side-printed legends make it tricky if you rely on looking down at the keys. Without the backlight, it’s even harder to spot certain symbols. The build feels sturdy, and the hot-swappable switches are a nice feature if you like to experiment. Pairing multiple devices via Bluetooth is easy once you read the instructions carefully, and the included coiled cable is flexible and well-made. The convenient knob is a great addition—you can use it to switch between different light colors and effects, and by pressing FN + knob, it doubles as a volume control. However, the small LED screen could use better customization options, and the instructions for setting it up weren’t very clear. It shows a clock that doesn’t sync with the PC, which can be annoying. For more customization, the X98 supports a web cloud driver that lets you adjust settings. You can upload a custom GIF for the LED screen and potentially update the time and date by downloading the official software from the ATTACK SHARK website. On the downside, the keycaps scratch easily, which may bother users who want their keyboard to stay pristine.✔ Pros• Good tactile typing experience• RGB lighting with multiple modes• Hot-swappable switches for customization• Versatile connectivity: Bluetooth, wired, and 2.4G• Convenient knob for lighting and volume control✘ Cons• Side-printed legends hard to read without lighting• RGB lighting isn’t evenly distributed• Instructions could be clearer• Keycaps scratch easilyThis review takes a look at the "X98 Wired Mechanical Keyboard, Full Key Hot-Swappable Gasket Structure LED Display" made by ATTACK SHARK.

Like all attack shark keyboards, this one is hot swappable, has a tiny screen for quick info like the time and such.the keys themselves sound absolutely lovely and the heft of the keyboard itself makes this feel premium. It's a joy to type on, and it THOCCS, like really hard too.easy 5/5 the volume wheel is also a very nice bonus to me as i love these.

I was looking for a keyboard that sounded less high pitch clicky and this one did the trick! It's super sturdy, good quality, not cheap by any means. I love how there's different heights you can set the back legs. Lots of different light patterns, makes it fun to personalize. I've received lots of compliments from my coworkers.

I have no interest in spending $1000 on a blank keyboard, custom key caps, switches, taking the time to lube the switches, installing o-rings, etc. Some people like doing that, but it's not for me.I've owned and used a few mechanical keyboards. Corsair K70 RGB, Drevo Blademaster TE, AJAZZ 75 TKL, and a very cheap WEGEAR mystery model. For retail boards, the K70 and Drevo Blademaster were pretty good, but this is by far the nicest to type on. There is some plastic involved here, so it does flex if you twist it, but who is actually doing that anyway? It does NOT flex while you are typing, so that's all that matters. The keycaps are nice, but dark with little space between and the letters are not translucent so the RGB is actually mostly hidden. I may replace the keycaps with the hyperx pudding caps that I already have to light it up a bit more. Typing feel is excellent. I've had red (K70), brown (Blademaster TE), and blue (AJAZZ) switches and these are a cream switch I believe. The sound is excellent and the feel is responsive (for me). They don't have the tactile click of blues, but neither do they come with the clicky sound that goes along with them. The lighting can be adjusted from the keyboard shortcuts (need to look at the included manual as the keycaps only have the standard letters), but I'd recommend getting the X98 Pro software from the Attack Shark website as it will let you adjust individual keys to any colour (there's even a tab that lets you get profiles that other users have uploaded and voted on). You can set macros and remap keys. I set Fn+L to act as Win+L, easier to lock the computer when they are both on the same side. This is also my first 98 key layout. I'm happy to get the number pad back after using the Blademaster TE TKL for so long, but the 98 layout is a bit odd in that you lose a few keys like insert and end, but keep home and delete. I used home/end fairly often but raily pgup and pgdn so I've easily remapped those. From what I gather this board and many others like it from similarly named brands probably come from the same OEM, but I'm very happy with this keyboard and it is definitely staying on my desk.
