"FINAL UPDATE: I elected to return the unit. The fan bearings whirling was getting louder every day. It is a shame because the unit is amazing in every other way. The fans are non-standard as well which makes it harder to replace when they do fail. Updating to 2* from 4* because I am pretty noise sensitive (especially with it sitting on desk). Other people may not care as much.---UPDATE: It looks like the CPU fan starts whining if the RPM drops below 1000. I went into the BIOS and raised the minimum CPU fan speed to 1200 and it resolved the whining noise.---UPDATE: 20 days into ownership and the fan developed a high pitched humming sound. Pretty distracting as it bounces off the walls and fills the room if I don't have music playing. The sound is hard to ignore. It looks like the top fan is an easily replaceable 70mm. The CPU fan is in a case and there's no off-the-shelf replacements readily available.---Computer is fast and quiet. Great value. It looks like they downgraded their RAM to ADATA from Crucial. I watched some video reviews and at one point they used all Crucial.Good Linux support for WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet. I am running Bluefin which is based on Fedora Silverblue."

I recently purchased the GMKtec M6 Ultra from seller GMKtec-US. The miniPC arrived well packaged in a cube shaped box. The AMD Ryzen 7640HS (6 core, 12 thread, Zen 4) runs cool & quiet, while 32GB DDR5 RAM ensures the system doesn't slow down when I open lots of browsing tabs with multiple applications running simultaneously. What impressed me most is the customer service from the seller, GMKtec-US. When I reached out with a request, GMKtec-US responded promptly and resolved my needs immediately. I’ve had this mini PC since August 2024 and it’s been working well for me….good specs, a small form factor, and it was quite economical. Recently it developed some fan noise and I wrote the manufacturer inquiring about the issue. They responded the next day (time difference with China) and although I had various follow up questions, they always responded promptly. They offered to send me both fans for $22 including shipping which I just received today. With the instructions on how to replace these fans, it took me about 30 minutes to get my mini PC back in action, quietly.cyberwiz 64

This little jem (pun intended), replaced two Intel I5s and does a better job than both of them together.Friends bought 3 of these and all three of us are very pleased. The features speak for themselves, and Win11 Pro is included.I have had mine about a year and a half and it has performed flawlessly. It is used 24 hours per day, and very rarely gets turned off. It is kept up to date with Windows Update, religiously.If you can get it for a good price, I highly recommend it, but pay attention to the CAVEAT below.CAVEAT: We bought these when they were $327.
