"Hinweis: Ich besitze neben dem DT1990 pro lediglich noch den Meze Audio 109, daher kann ich in dieser Rezension lediglich mit diesem Modell vergleichen. Preislich spielen beide (von Aktionsangeboten abgesehen) aber in der gleichen Liga.Der DT1990pro kommt sehr edel daher, stabil und zuverlässig verpackt, inklusive einem schönen Case, welchem es leider an einem Griff fehlt, was das schnelle transportieren mit einer Hand doch umständlicher macht als nötig.Sehr gut gefällt mir dafür die eingenähte Tasche für die Verwahrung aller Kabel und Adapter-Stecker.Auch die mitgelieferten Kabel sind nicht nur hochwertig, sondern auch entsprechend lang und praktisch.Zum Kopfhörer selbst: Nach kurzer "Einhör"-Phase kann ich sagen: Für klassische Musik absolut herausragend im Mittelton-Bereich. Die Höhen hingegen sind etwas überempfindlich, das kann in den Ohren auch schnell weh tun.Ich habe auf dem PC einen 32-Band Software-Equalizer installiert, damit kann ich das etwas entschärfen.Leider ist der Tiefton-Bereich weit weg von dem was ich erwartet hätte, dafür muss ich 2 Sterne abziehen.Wo bei gleicher Equalizer-Einstellung der Meze Audio einen schönen warmen und auch kräftigen Bass abliefert wird es beim DT1990 sehr dünn.Es bringt auch nichts den Equalizer in diesem Bereich anzuheben, da der Kopfhörer bei höherem Bass-Ausschlage der Musik (z.B. elektronische Beats) sehr schnell anfängt zu "kratzen", also so zu übersteuern, dass man das Gefühl hat er ist defekt.Wo mir der Meze Audio also die Trommelfelle durchpustet verweigert der DT1990 quasi komplett seinen Dienst.Ich habe den DT1990 dennoch behalten, da er mir im Klassik-Bereich ein wunderschönes Klangbild liefert.Ich finde aber den Preis für einen Kopfhörer den man nur für eine Musik-Richtung einsetzen kann etwas zu hoch und hatte einfach eine höhere Erwartung.Für Freunde der elektronischen Musik daher ein klares "Don't buy"."

Arrived quickly, beautifully packaged with easy start instructions. These headphones give the most detailed sound I think I have ever heard. With almost every album I have listened to so far, I have heard some detail that I haven't heard before. The overall sound is neutral and very clear to my ears, not bass heavy compared to other headphones I have had in the past, but the heartbeats at the start of Dark Side of the Moon are clear and deep!These are serious headphones, very well built, comfortable to wear for a couple of hours at least. They are cable-only connection, no bluetooth or NC software. One niggle only. The connection between the cable and phones is a kind of mini-Din three-pin plug. This is a very tight fit into the socket on the phones, insertion not too bad, but removing takes a pretty strong pull to get the cable out and you have to also press a minuscule locking button at the same time, so I have just left the 5m coiled cable attached. There is a shorter flat cable included, plus an additional set of ear pads, designed for "monitoring". You can buy some very nice, bluetooth/NC enables phones for this price, and I have such a pair. But the overall sound quality, preciseness of soundstage and the sheer depth of detail that these DT1990s give just out-perform anything I have heard to date. .eliforp tide

It is also very comfortable.This is a new golden standard in audiophile world. So good.I have Audio Technica r70xa, Audio Technica r50x, Sony MV-1, Sony M-1, Bayerdynamic DT 1990 Mk2, Bayerdynamic DT 1770 Mk2. Basically I have all the best stuff released in 2024 and 2025 and DT1990 Mk2 is definitely one of the best out there money can buy, if not the best. Just amazing. Also DT 1990 have the flattest frequency response among these headphones and it sound more accurate than anything else.I also have many other headphones, just these new releases beat everything else released in the past.Update:It has an absolutely euphoric, nostalgic, and futuristic sound. When you listen to it, it brings tears to your eyes. It is worth every penny and is definitely a breakthrough in audio technology. The highs, mids, and low frequencies are balanced and all exceptional. Many headphones have a V-shaped sound with recessed mids to make the sound more exciting. The midrange in these headphones is by no means compromised; it is rich, expressive, detailed, and cocky. Good midrange means good vocals. For the first time, I began to hear lyrics that were not recorded very well or where, for some reason, the midrange frequencies were hidden in the mix. I was very surprised when I clearly heard a line in a song that I had listened to a thousand times over the years on many other headphones.Let's go German engineering!alex k

The Beyer Dynamic DT1990 Mark 2 headphones are quite simply the best I have ever heard. They are very comfortable. They have deep and tight bass, a clear and concise midrange and and an airy, open and detailed treble that is never in any way ever sibilant. They have a wide and 3 dimensional sound stage and sound big and spacious. As well as this they are also much easier to drive with portable players as they are now only 30 ohms as opposed to 250 ohms which the mark 1 version is. They are as good as speakers at £3000 to £4000. I cannot recommend these headphones highly enough. They are in a nutshell simply excellent.mr c

Even right out the box these are fantastically clear without overly boosting the high end. Massive improvement over my 990s and 770s. From a gaming perspective, the sound staging is incredible allowing me to hear more accurately where enemies are in FPS games and more distinction between different SFX that conveys information to me. From a music production, mixing and mastering perspective, they required a bit more balancing through EQ (I use Equaliser APO on windows with recommended settings from online) just to flatten them a bit. Most notable thing I picked up is how clear my reverb sounded in mixes and easier to hear where clarity issues in my mix were. I can't really compare these to the MK1s since I never owned a pair however the general consensus online is clearer high end details without just increasing volumeWhat Customers Talk About
