"You get a good amount of yardage for the price, but the yarn is pretty scratchy and stiff, even for an acrylic.I'm just starting to learn to Tunisian crochet, so I wanted to see if I could stick with making a large blanket before investing more in tools and higher quality yarn (you'll need a lot of yarn for a large blanket!). This has been good to learn with, frogs pretty easily and no splitting issues. Just really stiff/scratchy (probably what makes the frogging easy).Also, at first, I thought the colors wouldn't look great for the blanket (the colors aren't solid, have visible white spots *on purpose*, but it does almost look like like an incomplete dye job). However, I love the way it looks so far. And as I've realized I needed more skeins, and placed additional orders for this same colored yarn, the dye matching doesn't matter at all. No factory knots found in 4 large skeins so far so that's great too (I've had issues with the few more expensive yarns I've used for other things). Even if I can't get it to soften up, this will make a good couch blanket at least!Edit to add: Prices have changed since I last purchased. Not sure I'd pay $10 per skein, it's pretty stiff. I got them at about $15/$16 for two which felt high enough. No stars removed from original review as I did not pay the higher price. Just saying!"
