"I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.This bottle comes just over half full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies. If used as directed it will last one month. I would prefer they put more capsules in and/or use a smaller bottle.The expiration date on mine (THANK YOU for not printing it on the bottom!) is Jul 2026.There is a light earthy (?) scent and taste to the capsules, and they are easy to swallow with water.I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says made in the USA and has a GMP stamp. The product page also says non-GMO.I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. I like to see a phone number on a website, or at least a chat feature. This one has the latter. Their layerorigin site is functional and informative, including information on their medical advisors. Another reviewer was questioning if the HMO in this supplement comes from humans or not. It appears on the website that it does not. Part of the reason for starting the company was to find ways to create HMO, and it says they do it "through a scientific process involving enzymes and fermentation."I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but am intrigued by the potential health benefits of this one, and appreciate the lack of fillers that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements that I am aware of refuse to.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful."
