This is a set of six passage door levers that are beautiful. They have classic lines and are smooth with a wave design.They are bright gold. These are passage levers with no locking mechanism. The levers are substantial, heavy, and well-made. These do have exposed screws, but because they are meant to be inside the home, that is not of great concern. They are usually for closets and rooms that are not customarily locked.These are being used in a duplex that my husband and I inherited. They are for the doors to the upper unit furnace room and the bedroom closet. We used a hole saw to open the bore to the correct diameter, and then the passage levers were simple to install.I love the look of this lever. These are really outstanding.dagger

Non-locking version reviewed.I've been upgrading all of my doorknobs from traditional round knobs to levers. Besides looking great, they're much easier to open and close when your hands are full.These are nice solid metal door levers with a decent quality chrome finish. Unlike some others I've purchased, the escutcheons also look good and are big enough to cover the marks made by the old knobs... no need to repaint.The kits include the latches and screws needed for the installation, and they can be installed in a pre-drilled door in less than 5 minutes.The handles are reversible for left and right opening doors, and each includes a hex wrench to remove the handles and reinstall them on the opposite sides. There's really no reason to do this on the non-locking versions (you can just flop the entire mechanism) unless you want the screw holes in the escutcheons on a particular side of the door.Be aware that these are shiny polished chrome as stated in the listing. The pictures in the listing appear to have a brushed finish.donald ray
