"I bought these lights to illuminate some artwork hanging in a dim hallway in our home. The light level is adjustable and more than adequate for our needs, even at setting 4 out of 5, and from a distance of about 5 or 6 feet. The color temperature is likewise adjustable, and we found the middle setting to be best for illuminating our prints. The warm temp is indeed very amber, and the cool temperature is starkly blue, but the middle temp appears neutral and accurate--closest to daylight perhaps.These lights went in easily enough and work as advertised initially. With that said, they are twenty-dollar lights, and they look and feel inexpensive: the housings themselves are polymer, and I believe the base that holds them to a wall or ceiling is some variety of pot metal. The remote, scarcely bigger than a credit card, hearkens to the EZ Bake ovens of my childhood. In short, for the price, you really can't expect much more. If they are still functioning well in a year, I will consider myself lucky.If you are really seeking lighting that is well made, these probably are not for you. However, if they continue to work, I will be content with the value proposition they represent."
