"I've purchased a bunch of these over the years looking for the perfect combination of powerful USB ports and enough AC plugs. I thought I had found that in this and the other one from Anker. Unfortunately, I didn't really pay attention to its joule rating until I got it in my hands. Most of these from surge protector manufacturers are around 1,200 Joules of protection. I had planned on using this in a room connected to a TV and multiple game consoles. but with only 300 Joules of protection, I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. If I do it will have to be relegated to an outlet where I only attach low value electrical devices. I'm also quite disappointed that the USB plugs share 15 Watts total (You only get 20 Watts if you only use 1 USB C and nothing else), It's not really any better than Cyberpower and APC because of that, and the Joule rating is much worse. I guess it really shows how different companies specialize in different things. It's kind of surprising to me because the full-size Anker surge protector is 2100 Joules."

To me, this was the best value for the money, for an outlet extender. Plus the Brand Anker being pretty well known for its quality. Attaching to the wall with a screw is really nice. It comes with another little piece of plastic that took me a while to figure out it's purpose because it isn't described anywhere... It's another post that you attach to the back of the outlet extender so you not only have the stability of it being plugged in, but the additional plastic post for added stability in the second outlet. Took me too long to figure that out, but I guess the benefit of the plastic post not being permanently attached to this unit means it will fit different types of outlets that wouldn't line up with 2 grounding posts...What Customers Talk About
