"I have read 7 chapters so far and while the story is middling at best--not very original, I find the tone of the narrator to be very unpleasant which makes reading a grating experience. Plus, as stated above, and contrary to the publisher's billing, the story is not, so far, very magical. Instead it is a weary tale full of tropes. I expected something much more imaginative."

Rich world-building, complex characters, perfect execution and beautiful writing is what awaits you in this tale set in the same world as ‘Daughter of the Moon Goddess’.There are quotes and teachings in this book that I will carry with me forever, and because of this, I will forever cherish this read.Easily one of my top reads of the year so far, I will never stop recommend a Sue Lynn Tan book. An author who can continuously create masterpiece, after masterpiece, I wait in anticipation for her upcoming release ‘Never Ever After’.boe
