"It zests and grates well. I like that the working surface area is wider than the Microplane 40020, making it easy to grate big knobs of ginger. However, the build quality of the Rainspire tool isn't as good as the Microplane. The rubberized handle provides a comfortable grip, but it can slip in oily conditions. Also, the handle can allow contaminants to easily sneak inside where the handle meets the base of the frame. The grater is securely tack welded onto the frame. However, fine food particles can get trapped in the joints. This grater does the job inexpensively, but Microplane makes a far superior tool in design. I recommend spending the extra money to buy it instead."
