"I like mine very much for the fact that I have to clean out the box much less often than with my previous Litter Robot, and that it does a much better job of containing smells. However, my cats scratch a LOT of litter out the opening and onto the floor and the mats placed in front of the unit. I wish Neakasa would come up with some sort of barrier that would prevent or minimize this. Also, I find replacing the plastic box liners somewhat difficult. Maybe something like elasticized edges would make it easier to fit them to the box."

I’ve had this for more than a year now. It’s been trouble free. The only issue I have is changing out bags is a little tedious and litter tends to pile up towards the back of the bin, causing it to register is full which requires you to shake and level the debris in the bin.The Wi-Fi and app have worked great no problems other than the feature that weigh, the cat is inconsistent and all over the place. Over years I have had three self cleaning litter boxes from a major brand. Each successive box had a bigger footprint, was more costly, more bells and whistles, with a shorter lifespan than the one before. After viewing the cost of another replacement, I went online and found the Neakasa M1 was top rated last year for half the cost. It also fit back under the countertop where it had all started. The first cat was in the box within fifteen minutes of adding the litter. This is the twenty-four pound part Maine coon. Both cats use the box without causing a mess. The box is much quieter and has less odor than the previous brand. I was surprised by that as the previous box was an enclosed globe.
