This product was worth every cent we paid for it in my opinion. Snugged up connections and had zero leaks due to the product. Outflow valve operated smoothly during repeated off / on cycles and air bursts. Some reviews seem like very little air had to be used; if the tank has not been flushed in 5 years it will probably require up to 15 - 20 second bursts of compressed air. Pancake style compressor worked just fine for this and blowing the larger chunks of sediment back into the tank (some water must remain behind in the tank for it to work) did help keep the smaller stuff flowing out. Sometimes it requires 2 - 3 prolonged bursts. Flowing air before placing on Schraeder valve helped cut down on mess and water flowing into the air chuck (we have squeeze activation chuck vs valve only). Standard garden hose outlet allows flexibility for hose use but we slipped a 1” inside diameter vinyl hose over it and had other end connected to a shop vacuum via 2.5” conical hose adapter - that and this product facilitated “power flushing” the tank. Worth the $$ even if we only get this one use out of it but seems like it is decently made.john g

I was browsing homeowner/plumbing videos on YouTube when I ran across a video singing the praises of the Sediment Buster. Of course I was then shown yet another plumber's video on the same topic, also with praise. As I had had a new water heater installed about two years earlier, and the old one had been filled with sediment, I knew I should flush the new one and the Sediment Buster seemed like a great idea. It was.It is indeed easy to use, though the drain valve on my indirect tank was a bit awkwardly positioned, so I bought an angled hose valve to help with that. The instructions are clear, though there are slight differences with the videos, nothing significant. I did get a lot of sediment out and believe that the Sediment Buster allowed me to get more out than just a straight draining.d monroe

This device worked exactly as described. Only problem I had was that the first few rounds broke up so much sediment that it clogged my hose. I thought the device was not working right. Once I realized and cleared the hose, everything flushed great.I definitely recommend everyone use this sediment buster. Easy to use, no discernible smell, clears out everything, and was cool to watch and use.mac
