"These run a tad large, evidently to accommodate foot swelling during moderate to long hikes, so ordering my standard foot size 11 seems right. My initial impression is that these feel clompy to me, I am inclined to be slealthy "on my toes," whereas these seem to make me walk on my whole foot, as opposed to say trail runners. These may be the better option for longer hikes, so verdict is still out. It might be the extra space needed for the foot to expand that is giving me the clompy feel. More to follow after some extensive hikes to address fit, temperature and longevity."

I owned a pair of the Targhee 3 for about 3 years and worn the soles off. Keen customer service was great in helping me pick a new pair. Have had my Targhee 4's for about 6 months. So far they have been great.I needed to add custom orthodontics. This added height inside the shoe made the shoe tighter in both height and width. If you use a shoe insert you'll probably need to consider this when ordering.ian

I've had several pair of keens. They are my favorite shoes. I've only had one pair that had a problem. The sole came loose. Not this model, but another one. I glued it back and it's been good since. This particular pair are outstanding. I wear a size 11. I'm 6' and weigh 230lbs and they always fit correctly at that size no matter what model of keens I wear. I just love them. They last a long time and are so comfortable and keep my feet dry and comfortable. I wear Marino wool socks with them even in the winter here in Indiana and they are great.What Customers Talk About
