"Pros:+ I like the compact form factor of this tool, its about 5"x2" when closed and locked.+ It works on both regular and passthrough RJ45 jacks, which is great.+ It locks in its closed position, which is a nice safety feature+ The cable stripper doesnt damage the individual twisted pairs, which is greatcons:The cutting/stripping blade is difficult to see and determining where you're cutting can be challenging.- Switching the crimper is very ambiguous. Screw on top - cat5,cat6; screw on bottom - 6a,7- Switching the crimper is difficult: you can't just loosen the screw and slide the toggle up or down, you must completely remove the screw- The crimper toggle screw will strip out very fast. It' very soft metal and after only a few times switching it's already starting to stripUltimately, it's a really nice crimping tool, but the toggle for crimping different jacks is the weak point. If you're planning on never changing the crimp toggle it's a great tool, If you're wanting to frequently switch between Cat5/6 and Cat6a/7 it's going to fail fast."

Works perfectly with CAT 6A cables.

This is the first one of these I've used. It was straightforward. If there's something better models can do, I'm not sure what I'm missing. I used iperf to test actual network speeds from the resulting cable and it got solid results.vincent

I bought this for a home wiring job and it worked just fine. The cutting blade was sharp and made a clean every time. I had no trouble using it to score the cable jacket but use a light touch here. The crimping part worked fine and did a good enough job cutting the ends of the wires on the pass through connectors. Some needed a little wiggle to cut them off completely but no big deal. I don't know how this would compare to an expensive professional tool since I've never used one but for someone that doesn't do this for a living, this tool is all I need. I'm happy with this purchase.ian h
