"The black 1 inch DIYMAG 12Pcs Neodymium Round 80lb Magnets with corresponding countersunk steel discs appear to be quite strong. The only reason I don't give five stars is because of the screws. They will not sit flush with either magnet or disc when fully tightened down. When installed the screw heads will be the only parts that have physical contact. The screw that works is a #6 x 3/4" flathead wood screw that I just happen to have in a 195 piece assortment made by Hillman, #591519, purchased from Amazon years ago. They are not black though but still in stock for for around six dollars."

I wanted some strong 1" circular magnets for a woodworking project, and these fit the bill. I have to say, these are way stronger than you think they are.I accidentally got one of the steel washers stuck to one of the magnets and I had to put it in a vise and use a flat bladed screwdriver and a mallet to be able to tap and pry the washer off.The screws it comes with are a good profile and sit in the countersunk hole perfectly to sit flat with the the magnet surface.Good value for this quality.What Customers Talk About
