"Months (almost a year) ago, with some foot problems, I went and purchased two pairs of New Balance Hierro mid-height running shoes that had NB's Fresh Foam construction. Instant comfort - spectacular! Those shoes happily breathe so they're great through the summer, but understandably not wind resistant or waterproof. Then I discovered this shoe (Garoe - another strange name) on amazon. It is truly spectacular. It does everything I'd want a shoe to do. For living in these casual days this shoe, in black with its cool blue details can almost serve as your everything-but-a-wedding shoe. Unless it was a casual wedding! I've run in them, ridden my bike, walked miles. I am most happy. Maybe the best shoe ever, for me. Do make sure you purchase the GORE TEX model. It has a label on its side and the price is a wee bit higher than the non-Gore Tex version. Worth it."

Took to UK and Ireland. Great ankle support walking on cobble streets and uneven castle stairs. Feet stayed dry walking in wet grass. Comfortable. Great walking shoe. Walked for miles on some days and feet were happy. I'm VERY happy I got these shoes for this adventure. :-)gessner bravo estrada

It sticks out, and it hits things all the time. Like walking on steps, the heels will rub the riser.They are very comfortable, and cushion every step.
