"I chose this 392pc set of stainless steel compression springs to be able to replace springs that were lost or rusted in some old large scale model trains. I needed a variety of sizes and figured that at least a few would fit. However, I didn't realize that the variation of this assortment is very limited: diameters range from 0.19" to 0.28", which is not much. I measured a few with calipers and found the wire size and lengths to be perfectly accurate, but the diameters are slightly off and vary a bit, e.g. 0.198 to 0.200 for the smallest and 0.271 to 0.277 for the largest size, which exacerbates my concern with the limited variation. I'm sure I'll eventually need something from this set though. I especially appreciate that these springs are stainless steel. This organizer case is pretty thin which is to be expected, however I didn't expect that the dividers would be removable. Loose dividers could make it possible for the springs to slip underneath and become disorganized; however, that hasn't happened yet, so maybe it will be fine. I would just prefer a more robust organizer. The good news is that the case is latched closed in two places with a satisfying snap. It is also well labeled on the inside, although odd that the outside of the label is completely white, with no label at all. It is great to have this kind of assortment on hand, but I'll have to keep looking for the additional sizes I need for my hobby parts inventory."
