Ok, these are not just for gutters. I bought these for my Mom's flower garden. She lives in Washington, and has voles, moles, and other flower bulb loving critters. These will be a "Basket" for the bulb during planting. These are made of corrosion resistant aluminum. The weave is small enough to prevent chewing, but big enough for roots to grow out, and spread. I used 2 zipties to close up the sides, plus bent the upper, and bottom edges over together. I hope this gives you a great idea for flower bulb protection.melikedvd
