"These come with a warning in the description (and also a paper one delivered with the product) that low power lasers won't work as well with these, and I was a bit tentative to try them out. However, I'd already used some that were very similar (but half the thickness, we'll get to that) and they turned out alright once I figured out how to engrave them. So, some specs. I use a SOVOL 5W Laser Engraver attachment for an Ender 3 Pro 3D Printer. It works phenomenally as a desktop engraver, but it does require some fiddling at times. These cards work AMAZINGLY on that setup once you figure out how to do it. First, make sure you are set up at the exact focal distance specified by your printer. This is good practice anyway, but any painted metal proves to be more difficult without that step. Next you'll want to find the right settings. You don't actually need to go max power or super slow, I find a middle ground actually works great. However, I suggest going into Lightburn (or whatever you use to control the engraver) and putting like 10 squares with varying settings on one project file to see which square works best. (To make it easier for you, these are 87mm X 55mm.)When you first engrave on these you'll notice it doesn't look super shiny, that's because there is paint residue left over. Just grab a sponge, run it under some water, and spray some cleaner (I use LA's Awesome Spray from the dollar store) and wipe it off. If I have any difficult spots or fine details I'll spray the card and use a Q-Tip to scrub it clean. If after doing this once or twice you don't have the shiny finish you want, it's probably one of two things: either your engraver head is too far/close to the card's surface, or your lens needs cleaned. I recommend cleaning your lens at least once a day to keep things crisp. (Just take a Q-Tip, put some rubbing alcohol on it and gently wipe the lens of your engraver.)I did some tests like the one in the picture to see how it does on really thin lines and dots, and they do great. No peeling or scratching present. As for the thickness of these, I love it. I did use some that were way thinner and I thought they weren't bad (cause honestly they weren't they're still metal), but once you hold one of these and feel the difference in rigidity there's no going back. Also, they seem to hold up quite well. I know this because immediately upon opening the package I promptly dropped the cads in their plastic case and a full bottle of water on them (don't ask). The bottle shattered the plastic case they came in and the cards scraped along each other and flew all over the room. Only one actually had a noticeable scratch, and that one was on me...TLDR: These work great and feel great in the hand!"

Appreciated the plastic case the cards came packed in. Anodizing is consistent and card is thick enough to use as tags. Not flexible as other cards. Laser engraving comes out perfect with no distortions or color issues. Will definitely order again.agentneonblack
These cards are sturdy and worked wonderfully on my 10w laser engraver

I used these to make event VIP passes for a friend. Before, I made them with the thinner, cheaper cards, and the comments coming back indicated a stiffer card would be desired. So I ordered these. Significantly stiffer, similar engraveability, and still within a reasonable price point. Even thicker cards exist, but they are very expensive and difficult to engrave sharply. Will buy these again. What Customers Talk About
