"I really wanted to love this. I love my EGO mower, and I believe in electric. I needed an easier, less polluting snow thrower and wanted one that would be easier to use. One that would not result in the exhaust smell that sends you back inside to shower and change.Positive--It throws snow really far.Negative--The louvers don't move very much. I would guess that the dial might throw at 10:30 and 1:30 on the clockface. I need more right and left--i.e. 9:00 and 3:00--for efficient sidewalk clearance. Throwing snow on your neighbor's driveway is a big no-no in Idaho.Negative--It is heavy for me. With the battery attached, it is 23 pounds. I am only 140 pounds. It's 16% of my body weight, but after 15 minutes it feels like so much more!Negative --it doesn't have wheels! What look like black plastic wheels to the rear on the right and left are actually just rounded bits of plastic. Seriously. This means that maneuvering over any ice that is underneath the snow requires lifting--and that is me lifting 23 lbs.! over and over. Ugh!Positive--Great on clean concrete with snow of all sorts of depths--from a skiff to a 6+ inches.Negative--Terrible on uneven snow. When I bought this, I already had thick snow on the ground that had been driven over, partly melted, and then iced over--not a picnic for any kind of snow removal. I found myself having to do a lot of lifting as if I were using a trimmer/weed-whacker designed for snow. Yeah--sigh--maybe next year when I am perfect and never travel, or oversleep, or drive on the snow in my driveway, maybe then I will have perfect smooth concrete beneath me.Negative--Having to keep my hand on the on/switch/button at all times, means that I can't shift my carrying style much. My arm got so tried that my muscles were shaking after 25 minutes of working outside the other day.I am a working single mom and grandma. I need something that will help me, not wear me out. I work killer hours--sometimes 18 hours in a day. I travel for work a lot. I often return home to a snow-covered driveway with tire tracks that I didn't make. I rarely have the luxury of starting with pristine concrete that has a light blanket of snow just calling my name.EGO, I am not a big fan right now. I am a disappointed customer. I missed my return window with Amazon and literally can't afford to do anything but make this work. But when you truly decide to make something great for the environment that a reasonably fit grandma can use, call and sign me up as your "beta grandma." You really need someone besides the guy who manicures his driveway as a hobby."
