"The Resin:The amount of resin is perfect for beginners or people who won't use much. The bottles do say they expire within a year. It's also clear as advertised.The LampThe lamp is really tiny. Which is fine for small jewelry and tiny miniatures.The lamp is very annoying because the max time it will stay on is 150sec while the instructions say to leave it on for 4min.The power cord is short.Tackiness and Hardness:Everything was slightly tacky despite being under the lamp for the max recommended time and only having a very thin layer of resin. Not tacky enough to leave fingerprints though. It's slightly tacky even if I 5x the time.What worked better was placing it in direct bright sunlight outside for the same amount of time. That eliminated the tackiness and increased the hardness.Overall, I'm glad I got to try out resin with this purchase."

Bought this to reinforce old fragile plastic with. Tested a dab of resin on a broken piece of plastic and hit it with the light for 4mins. Proceeded to scrape at it with a flathead screwdriver and although it scratched the surface, it did not gouge deeply or displace any of the resin from the plastic. I've never worked with UV resin before but my initial impressions are very positive. I went ahead and made a reflective shroud to help ensure good curing and to keep the light contained and away from sensitive eyes.josue david
