"The top piece does its job and catches hair, but debris gets into the bottom piece and clogs the drain. The bottom piece needs a complete redesign. It cannot be taken apart to clean and you can't fit in a finger to clear blockage. You have to use tweezers just to get into the space."

I had one of these, but I thought the more well known brand of this item might work better. I was so wrong-the other brand wasn't nearly as effective in catching hair. I lost track of my original OXO drain protector and had to buy another one because of the difference in how well it functions. It was worth it to buy another, it's much less expensive that getting a plumber!chase

I love this drain hair catcher because it catches hair way better than other popular options. There is a portion that goes into the drain first and then the second part is the cap and under the cap is a tube that also catches hair. Any hair that is not caught in the tube under the cap has been captured by the first piece underneath that it attaches to.sue z

I have tried 2 other types of bath tub drain hair trappers, This product is the best. I love how easy it is to install and use. It really does trap the hair exactly as stated.
