"I had another shredder for almost two and a half years before it just stopped working/feeding the paper through. So I took to reading reviews of potential replacements yesterday. Queue the frustration of getting through tons of 5-star reviews only to find the 1-star foreboding/warning reviews to negate all that reading. It's so hard to know what to buy, who to trust, etc., these days, especially on Amazon. I went with my gut and decided to try this one and I am glad I did. It arrived overnight, less than 24 hours later, and worked beautifully right out of the box.Now, I've learned with these things so I only fed it one sheet at a time. Never feed any home (or office, really) paper shredder more than 1 piece of paper at a time. It's just best practice. Feed it credit cards at your own risk. Om-nom-nom the paper shredder chewed those pages nicely. Very satisfying shredding, if I do say so myself. I got through about a bin and a half's worth of paper just fine. It did get pretty hot, considering, so I can see that it's not meant for much more in one sitting without risk of overheating. So work in batches for a big job or just shred as you go day-to-day.The shreds are so tiny and fluffy! This makes really soft shreds if you're looking to reuse as pet bedding or the like. Look, we know these things are temperamental, and none are perfect, nor will any last forever. But in the interest of saving you time and sanity, this one did not disappoint. I will update if anything wild changes about that assessment. It's a little more than the last one I got ($45 vs. $30) but I do think it is worth the extra $15. (Oh and it's much quieter!) Go forth with confidence, and may the shredding odds be ever at your favor."

My old shredder suddenly stopped working and I needed a new one asap. I read the description and decided on buying it. I received this product the next day. Everything was in the box. I had a lot of documents to shred. The shredder does make noise, like all shredders do. I started the shredding process and I love how it does cross micro cuts. WOW! I LOVED IT! It did better than my last shredder. I tried letting it cool down after shredding around 30 pages so that way it doesn't over heat. Shredders are known to overheat after shredding for at least 2 minutes straight. The worse padt is that once it overheats, you have to wait at least for 30 minutes for it to cool down before the shredder starts operating again. I also discovered that the operating manual stated that you could even use cooking oil to lubricate the gears/blades. Most shredders do not allow use cooking oil for lubricating. Anyway, this was a great purchase and I highly recommend this product. Be aware, this is my own personal, honest opinion. I am not a paid reviewer. Like you, I paid with my own money and it was a great purchase.p

Honestly, it does the job. My pet peeve is that because it’s a six paper slot you can just point and drop, it’s hard to get it under the little lip of the hood to get one piece of paper in let alone more than one, or the wrinkle ones that have been around for a while, etc. The cross shredding is fantastic. It looks great and would fit a small space. It’s just not easy to use in the button for on off forward and backwards keeps on moving and it takes forever to get it to where you want it to, therefore it’s flimsy and it doesn’t stay where you wanted to. Other than that, it’s a good machine for the price. I rather get something else.rita
