"I am a qualified electrician, and use a top of the range machine for testing domestic electrical installations. I have always used Duracell batteries in this (very expensive) multifunction tester.They used to last months. This batch lasted less than three weeks in a machine that is less than two years old and maybe used two or three times a week. The rest of the time, it is switched off in its protective case.The performance of Duracell batteries is now appalling; I get better results from cheap pound shop products. As they still clearly think they are a premium product, you pay a premium price for them; in my opinion they are overpriced and the quality control is absolutely terrible. Two out of eight cells leaked all over the battery compartment. Fortunately it's at the bottom of the machine so I don't believe the fluid leaked into the maintenance. But it has taken the chrome off two of the negative connections.Duracell used to be a premium product, and I use them with no problem for years.Nowadays they are typified by appalling quality and derisory battery life in an overpriced and no longer premium but still expensive product.terrible value for money. I would give them zero stars if possible, but unfortunately that isn't possible."
