"I got this to replace an old MFC flatbed scanner. I do not use the software that came with it, and instead us an open-source video / picture capture program. The camera is fully L4V / TWAIN compatible. The specifications say 4K, which the video feed shows, but I think it may be 1080p extrapolated to 4K. Either way, it folds up conveniently and stows well for when I don't need it. MUCH SMALLER FOOTPRINT than my old scanner.Has a small built in LED for dark conditions.The 3 joints hold their position and can be adjusted for tension.The base is very heavy for its size so doesn't tip over; a big plus.The camera's native resolution is more than amble for full-hd captures of any document I need to save or send via e-email.Only takes 1-2 second, whereas the old flatbed took almost a minute to scan.In a pinch it can be used as a webcam, but the audio capture is muted and tinny.As a document camera and once-in-a-while web-cam, this is a good purchase and worth it."
