"These are really good ice trays. The whole covered concept makes it easy stacking in the freezer with no mess. Here's a hint or two. When removing from the freezer give it a twist or two to break the lid free from the ice. Also, before you place the lid back on the tray, run it over some warm water first. The slight expansion of the warm lid makes it super easy to place back on the tray. And as always, fill the tray with enough water, but not too much that it touches the lid, you'll find out why later after it freezes."

It takes hours to make demi-glace sauce that makes your restaurant steaks good. I have a standard ice maker, but I can't freeze other stuff in it just ice cubes. This covered tray keeps the frozen contents from sublimating or evaporating when cold. It is great to freeze things like flavored cubes of all kinds or in this case a sauce that takes several hours to make so I like to preserve it. Since I'm not a restaurant, I can't spend the time to make it every day. Recommended.geo

These are really good ice trays. The whole covered concept makes it easy stacking in the freezer with no mess. Here's a hint or two.
