"On the compatibility list it says my 2025 Crosstrek is compatible. Got the adapter hooked it in to what I thought was the correct connector. It was not there is a 5 pin that this can plug into above the dash but it is not the right connector. The correct connector is the black 10 pin. Get the 10 pin one for the Outback if you need this for your 2025 Crosstrek with the home link mirror."

Worked great for on my 2026 Subaru Forester, took about 15 minutes to complete the install, just watch a YT video first. The C plug adapter shows either a red (5 volt) or green (9 volt) led light. My install showed the red led, which I thought was a problem, but it wasn't. I have 3 different dash cams and they all run off 5V, so no problems there. The Dongar plugged into the cable to the front right side under the panel, the one with the pink tape. The supplied C to C cable was perfect length...great product! Say goodbye to 9V cigarette lighter plugs and dangling dash cables.al brazee

It seems some people with the Touring trim and the digital rear view mirror need a different type but the 5E worked for me. This worked flawlessly for my 2023 Subaru Forester. The installation took only a few minutes after watching YouTube instructions. The compact design allows it to be hidden behind the trim, resulting in a clean installation. Additionally, it came with various cable lengths for connecting to the dash-cam. I installed the Dongar DashCam Power Adapter on my 2021 Forester Sport with a powered rear view mirror, and I found it to be an excellent solution for a professional, clean dashcam setup. It tapped the rearview mirror power, resulting in a super clean install with all wires hidden. The cable length was generous, easily reaching my windshield with slack for routing. It reliably supplies my camera. It's a tricky install, not because of Dongar, but because if how Subaru does the wiring in the overhead console.There are 2 (two!) 5-pin connectors that this harness can plug into. The easiest one to find is obvious, but missing the #3 wire for power. You have to find the 10-pin plug, and follow it back under the headliner, and there you'll find the correct 5-pin plug.Pic #1 is the plug you DON'T want.Pic #2 is the coiled wire from the the 10-plug. One end goes to the 10-pin plug (Pic #3) and the other leads to the correct 5-pin plug (Pic #4) tucked under the passenger side of the overhead console.What Customers Talk About
