While they serve their purpose, the plastic feels slightly flimsy, and I'm concerned about long-term durability. Hides cords very well. The boxes have openings on one side to pull the cords through (only openings are on one side not both sides). Then there is a lid to cover the top. It looks way better than just using a surge protector l and having cords hanging out everywhere. Super easy to use.yissel gl
