"Good quality, nice smell and flavor. The plastic box makes it kind of safe for the whole anise to stay whole and not to break into pieces - like it probably would when packed in normal bag/pouch…So far the best price I have seen was $8.49 on April 26 2025.Edit May 09 2025:Check what packing you get - It seems that they may have two kind of packaging - one is the good and sturdy plastic box, but I have also seen in this listing recently something that looks like a paper bag - I would not buy this new paper bag packing as it is much easier for the star anise to get damaged on the way…So, check what kind of packaging you will get from them - it should show in the photo description."

It does what it claims to do. Constipated individual, give it a try. Three stars for tea is what to use, but boil the stars for fifteen minutes and then steep it for another fifteen minutes. I love this star anise for making tea. I usually prepare it with chamomile and mint, and the mix turns out absolutely delicious. It also works great to add a richer flavor when making desserts. Personally, I use it mostly for tea, which helps me with digestion and also calms my anxiety. Excellent quality and flavor — highly recommend it!charmaine
