"I bought a couch on marketplace on the cheap. It was faded but the leather was in great shape. So I watched some videos, read some reviews and landed on what appeared to be the perfect product to bring this couch back to life. The 3 step process was easy to follow, though took some elbow grease and was fairly time consuming. The cleaner and the conditioner worked excellent. When it came to the dye though, that's where I had some trouble. I applied it in several coats on the places where the leather was very faded, and with each additional coat (after waiting at least the 10min they recommend) I found that the new coat of dye would rub off the previous coat if you weren't really careful. The other problem I ran into occurred after waiting the full 24hrs for the dye to dry/set. During step 3, when I took to the couch with the conditioner it removed a lot of the dye. It basically made the dye a liquid again and I ended up sort of smearing it around. It still dyed the leather pretty well though. It could have been user error for sure, but I followed the directions the kit came with pretty closely. Another thing to consider is that when all was said and done I'm still getting small amounts of the dye transferring onto a cloth or even my clothes after wiping the couch with clean microfiber cloths several times. Eventually, I think that will stop and I will be left with a beautiful brown couch. Until then I will keep wiping and wiping until there is zero transfer of dye. I would do this again if I had to. Or, I would just use the cleaner and the conditioner to preserve and protect the leather and not mess with the dye."
