This orange flavoring is so fresh! I used it in a carrot cake recently instead of orange juice, and it had just that nice zing. I also added it to the cream cheese frosting, just half a teaspoon instead of orange zest, and it gave it a wonderful flavoring. Plus, the aroma of orange was so fragrant and lovely. I’m excited to use this on more baking. I highly recommend it.kimber

ingredients:1 stick butter, unsalted, melted3/4 cup vanilla sugar1 egg3/4 cup milk1 teaspoon McCormick Pure Orange Extract1/4 teaspoon McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract1/2 teaspoon orange zest1.5 cups flour, all purpose, sifted1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt2 cups cranberries, whole, frozen (use to top batter prior to baking)Cream the butter and sugar, all the remaining liquid ingredients and beat to fluffy. Add dry and mix well.I use this pan also available on Amazon - it works beautifully: casaWare 11.5 x 11.5 x 1.5-Inch (Exterior) Square Multipurpose Pan, Ultimate Series Commercial Weight, Ceramic Non-Stick Coating (Blue Granite)Spread batter into pan. Use the cranberries to place around the top of the "bread". No need to thaw them.Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes. (lightly browned, cake pin clean check).Dust with powdered sugar if you like or top with ice cream. We eat it for breakfast...Enjoy - McCormick would approve. Their extract smells like oranges, tastes like oranges and is everything but orange in color (but I think McCormick makes an orange food dye if you're into that sort of thing.)
