"My newborn was diagnosed with an allergy to cow's milk protein, so I in order to keep feeding him off of me, I needed a dairy/soy-free diet. I have a mocha every morning and was so happy to find this vegan and soy-free hot chocolate powder. I DO find it has more of a hot cocoa taste, so I do have to add a teaspoon of sugar to each serving. Of call their flavors I've tried (regular dark, caramel, and mint) this is my fave one!"

One thing I missed as a vegan was the occasional hot chocolate. For years, decades it is something I went without. If I was home I would heat up chocolate soy milk but the powder offers a very quick fix and is much more portable to cottages or visits at friends. I know people can make it, but I never bothered.In a Christmas gift basket I was gifted a Castle Kitchen hot chocolate mix and I was so delighted to have hot chocolate again.Yes I know those are high in sugar but sometimes you just want a treat.These are amazing.The mint, the double and the caramel… all winners and definitely an easy substitute for the milk based powers. Which I think is important in a vegan household who may have nonvegan visitors. Also a great option for lactose intolerant people.Anonymous

But this tastes just like I remember hot chocolate tasting. The fact that it's mint chocolate just takes it up another notch.
