"True to size.Generous toe box.Flexible leather so there’s not a ‘break-in’ period. The price is amazing for a full-grain leather boot with Gore Tex.The lugs on the sole are versatile enough for mixed terrain such as hiking on / off trail, upland hunting, and street use.As opposed to Asia, these boots are made in the Dominican Rep -which is great - to support a closer neighbor in our time zone.I’ve had Lowa, Danner, Irish Setter, Lacrosse, and other great brands — these Rocky’s are going to be faves. But…..I have one complaint: lack of care on sending me returned boots…. and there’s NO doubt, because Amazon still included the outside bag packaging feom Debbie H from College Station TX. I totally understand that you should re-sell boots that didn’t fit someone else - after all, that’s what would happen in “DSW” or any brick and mortar shoe store. But these had the tissue paper pulled out, the tag loose in the box, and the shipping wrapper INSIDE the boot box. C’mon Amazon - freshen the box before sending them out."

As a Letter Carrier, I always wore Rocky shoes. They were extremely lightweight and durable which made my 11 mile daily walking route easier. Now, my newly received boots have arrived and the quality is everything I hoped they would be.

Fits well and size was correct. These are worth the money. I go hiking a lot and they were comfortable and protected my feet really well. I haven’t got them wet yet so I cannot comment on waterproofing.

Wish I could review it higher. Was looking for a comfortable waterproof boot to wear with a small to no heel. Let’s me start by saying this boot is top notch comfortable with no break in period. But my feet are getting wet in tall grass the water seeps through the leather on the toes and gets my feet. Not soaking wet but enough to make your socks wet.

As others have noted, these are somewhat undersized and narrow in the toe box area. I wore a 10D 10 years ago, but find that I wear an 11E now. That could be my feet spreading out, but I'm guessing it's due to a gradual downsizing of shoes in general. Not sure how that makes sense for any shoe/boot manufacturer, but I've found this to be the case in Merrill, Rocky and New Balance purchases in the last few years.Since I already knew they would run a little bit small, I bought the 11E that seems to be right now days. They fit well, although just a little tight in the toe box, which will probably stretch out nicely in time. I really like the way they wrap around the ankles, proving support there. They are fairly flexible, lightweight, and seem well constructed (only had them one month, so time will tell). The footbed insert is top notch ... very thick and cushy. The only thing I would change is using a smoother leather. The leather has a little by of a suede nap, which collects dust and dirt more that the Rocky's I bought about 20 years ago that had a smooth, dense oiled leather upper that was excellent. All in all, very happy with these boots.
