"The black felt material on my vehicle that covers the interior car window weather stripping which allows the window glass to roll up and down smoothly without catching on exposed rubber was beginning to crack and peel off due to age.The rubber underneath was still in good condition and rather than buying a whole new weather stripping and going through the cost of removing the old and installing the new (which could be expensive depending on the vehicle)I measured and cut the amount needed to cover the exposed rubber, the felt thickness caused the window to peel the felt strip off, but this can be solved by using a shaving razor (think Gillette razor) to shave down a half a millimeter of felt for an ultra thin felt patch. After shaving down some of the material, the felt sticks without the window catching on it while rolling the window up.Looks good and so far I am pleased with the result.My only criticism is that the seller doesn’t offer a felt tape thinner than 1mm. Something paper thin would be outstanding."

I bought this to put a strip along the bottom edge of our new Vizio…
I bought this to put a strip along the bottom edge of our new Vizio 75" 100+lb TV so it would slide smoothly on top of a TV stand. The TV is on an articulating wall mount that takes most of the weight, but the height is adjusted so that the bottom edge of the TV does rest on the TV stand with, I'd guess, 30% of the weight supported by the stand. I know this is unusual, but the fit was very tight, so I didn't have room to have the TV mounted above the stand and have it still fit in the entertainment center. The tape was perfect for this. I was worried that the felt might be too thin to provide padding, but it was just right - thin, but thick enough to provide a bit of padding and protect the wood top of the TV stand and to allow the TV to slide smoothly on it when we adjust its position. The peel-and-stick adhesive also seems to be high quality - it was easy to apply and seemed to bond very well to the metal trim of the TV (no slipping or lose spots). I did peel it back to slightly re-position it in a spot or two, but it sticks solidly, so it is best to be careful and get it right the first time. I was applying it to a flat metal surface (the bottom of the TV's bezel), so I can't say how it would work on corners or uneven surfaces - though I think it would probably do fine. I think it might be pretty tough to remove if I ever need to do that, but I prefer that to having it come loose when I don't want it to (which I don't expect).amam

I read some reviews that indicated the tape is difficult to get off the paper strip. I noted that the roll arrived with a pre-tab to make it easy to start using the tape. I simply put a short piece of the paper strip, gloss side toward the sticky, between the paper strip and the sticky of the rest of the roll. That way I have a starter tab to make the next project easier. I have also simply cut the tape and then cut the paper a little longer than the tape and that works also.For my application, I used the felt as the slide edge for the plexiglass window/slide door in the screen door of my motor home. The existing plexiglass was worn and scratched, so I replaced it and used this the same way the original slide door. The tape is very sticky and adheres well. The felt is fuzzy and does not scratch. Good adhesion, good density, not overly fuzzy. perfect for quieting interior automotive trim. I bought it to replace my compound bow QAD drop away rest. Its quiet and so far has lasted twice as long as quad felt kit, its been through rain, snow and heat, still good to go and it is slightly thicker than quad felt but did not change my point of arrow impact. Also put a pad on my riser for the smack down of arrow rest and inside top of my quiver to stop any noise of tapping it during arrow removal. I took the time to write this because I was so fed up with QAD felt not lasting, and this stuff is awesome, after wrapping it, use serving string to really lock it down, watch on youtubelacheur

This was perfect for my application - a thin felt to line some small wooden drawers. It stuck down tight to a fresh, smooth coat of polyurethane finish, and it doesn't feel like it's going to want to peel up.And yeah, it's kinda hard to peel the backing, that's because it's STICKY! Just get in there with the tip of a knife or a needle or something - sometimes stretching it a little will break the bond.
