"The thermometer itself works fine in good weather...however twice now it has failed when a bit of rain got in my toolbag. It came back to life after putting it in a bag with some rice for many hours but this doesn't work for me as I need this tool every work day and it has to be reliable. By contrast my Fluke multimeter, amp clamp, and non contact voltage detector are holding up fine under the same conditions. Replaced it with a Klein IR5 which is handling the rainy winter fine so far and FWIW its readings are close to the Fluke when I've tried them both on various items hot and cold."
