"Pros:-It's a good preamp for the money-Entirely powered by USBCons:-+48V phantom power switch doesn't do anything; will not work with condenser mic.-No external power supply for use as a standalone unit-setup instructions unclear, but not necessary once you understand how it works (Hindsight is 20/20)-Windows standard USB mic driver allows you to select 1 or 2 channels, (you need it to be set to 2 channel audio to pick up both inputs), however in 2 channel mode it maps the inputs to the left and right audio channels meaning you will hear one input in your left ear and the other in your right. Wish there was a way to have it appear as 2 separate mono inputs.With regards to setup, it's literally plug-and-play for both Windows and Linux (haven't tried Mac) -- the reason for this is because it uses a standard USB class interface so it simply shows up to any operating system as a USB mic accepting the standard USB Microphone driver. Nothing special required.Works well with both my electric guitar and my dynamic microphone. All in all, it works for what I need it to do. I compared this to building my own dynamic mic preamp but came nowhere close to the SNR on this one.Update 2021: Tried using this with a condenser mic and discovered that the 48V switch on the back doesn't actually do anything. Contacted support for warranty repair, which they accepted, but told me I'd need to pay $40 to ship it to them (which is about 70% the cost of just buying a new one). Subtracted 2 stars for customer service experience. I'd recommend it overall, but if something doesn't work be aware that the warranty doesn't really count for much."
