"The NuMetal I received never got all that hard and I did what is recommended. . . I kneaded the two parts of equal measure into a worm shape, and folded it. Repeated a few times. Let it set up for half a day. The 'B' part has a white powdery coating. My guess it was just ultra old when sent."

The other reviews about mixing when warm are correct. You need it warm to mix easily otherwise it is not easy to properly mix. Mixing it you have to roll it like pizza dough and twist and then ball it up and repeat until a single color. This has held up to some things I wouldn't have thought would work well for epoxy like repairing a bracket on an air cleaner assembly for a rototiller. It does take shock well when cured. It is easier to work with for molding when you need a putty and where J B Weld is more liquid-like. I had some of this leftover and made it into a ball, and have been throwing it around the garage and oddly it hasn't cracked or broken and is hard as a cue ball. I store my leftovers in a wrapping of aluminum foil and then bag with a freezer bag, I've used some that was months old and previously opened. I do it thinking it might preserve its integrity in storageezra

If you mix it cold just beware the mix time for the whole box might be the same as mixing 1/3-1/4 of the box. My first box was straight from the house and it took about 45 min to mix the second box I left in the sun (80 degrees out) and it mixed in about 8 min but still did the 15 as recommended just in case.Hard as a rock and although I didn’t need it drilled or tapped I can see why you could with this material. A little pricey for what I used it for but I will never have to worry about it flexing, sagging, or sinking. No smell and cures hard in short time compared to wet epoxiesashokm
